- What does it cost?
- R150 for a 250 L sack of EPS or EPP regrind, R400 for virgin bead. If we fill your cover it starts from R49.00 per kg of regrind or R109 per kg of virgin, weighed at the counter. Bulk bags are quoted.
- Which bead should I buy?
- White mixed crush is EPS regrind, pink mixed crush is EPP regrind; both are 8–12 mm and what most beanbags take. EPP has less static and sags more slowly. Virgin is new, round, 4–6 mm and softer, at a higher price. See the which-bead page for the full comparison.
- How much do I need?
- A standard-size beanbag may need about 250 litres, or one bag of filling, as a guide only. Covers vary considerably, especially custom-made ones. Follow the cover maker's filling guide if supplied, or use our calculator for an estimate. Keep some filling in secure, dry storage for later top-ups.
- Do I buy sacks, or do you fill the cover?
- Either. Buy sacks to pour at home, or bring your beanbag with a working zip for us to refill. No need to empty it first: we can remove and dispose of used beads, or top up the existing filling. We charge by the weight added. Booking is advised; visit during opening hours before 12:00 or after 13:00, or drop off and collect later.
- Where do I collect, and when?
- Unit 2 & 3, 298 Brander Street, Jan Niemandpark, Pretoria. Behind Maizey Plastics, next to Visto Mouldings. Mon–Thu 08:00–16:00 · Fri 08:00–15:00 · Sat closed. Message before you drive so we can confirm stock.
- Do you deliver?
- Possible delivery in Gauteng is arranged with our own driver or a courier, subject to availability and a quote. Outside Gauteng, ask us to check courier options for your town and quantity. Your own courier is also welcome. We do not recommend Pudo: our standard sacks are too large for its locker boxes.
- How do I pay?
- Card, cash or EFT at the counter. For delivery and bulk orders we send a pro-forma by email; pay by EFT and send proof of payment, and the order is processed within about 2 working days.
- What is the material?
- Regrind is clean post-consumer EPS and EPP packaging, ground in our workshop; virgin bead is new expanded polystyrene. Beads are a choking hazard for small children and pets, so keep the sack closed, and never use a fan or blower to move them.
- Can I use polystyrene beads in concrete or planters?
- Yes. Fine regrind is used in lightweight concrete screeds, and virgin bead as a drainage and weight-saving layer in large planters. Tell us the volume in cubic metres or litres and we quote per kilogram or per bulk bag.
- Do you make beanbags or covers?
- No, only the filling. If you need a cover, buy it from a beanbag maker and bring it to us to fill, or fill it at home.
